Holden Plant Rentals has been awarded the exclusive and prestigious multi million Euro contract to supply and maintain Cork City Council’s entire new fleet of over 250 vehicles on a contract basis of up to 5 years duration. The contract award followed a major pre-qualification and tendering competition managed by Keelvar a Cork based procurement solution company headed up by CEO Dr. Alan Holland.

As the sole supplier to Cork City Councils of all corporate vehicles, trucks and plant Holden Plant Rentals has partnered with the major European manufacturers to obtain the most suitable equipment and best value for Cork City Council. The fleet consists of Motorcycles, Cars, Vans, Tipper Trucks, Cranes, 4×4’s, Road Sweepers, Street Scrubbers, Refuse Trucks, Street Washers, Tractors, Diggers, Loaders, Trailers, Compressors, Road Lining machines, Mower’s, Snow Plough’s, Gritter’s, Mobile Power Pack’s and Utility vehicles. The vehicle maintenance and repair will be managed at Holden Plant Rentals Cork facility in Douglas where bespoke and dedicated diagnostics will be in place for all selected equipment supported by Holden Plant Rentals Mullinavat head office administrative department. This is the first instance in Ireland whereby a City Council has awarded a contract of this magnitude to a single supplier and is bolstered by Holden Plant Rentals long relationship supplying Cork City Council with specialist vehicles and maintenance since 1999. Contract signing took place at a ceremony in City Hall between Holden Plant Rentals Directors and City Officials in mid August and expected fleet roll out completion date is mid to late 2014.
